As mentioned in out previous post, we have a whole new range of invitations as well as a fresh newly designed website: www.clairelovie.com

Above are some close-ups of the new range within the exhibition frames. You will see that some have the RSVP mounted inside - always a good idea to supply an RSVP for a prompt response. We were so pleased as there was lots of lovely compliments on the new designs. The fact that the invitation details are printed on the front of the card enables information such as a map, RSVP or gift list can be tucked inside and not obscure what is THE most important lettering. Of course if a client prefers we can re-work the design for the invitation details to print on the inside. We have also moved over to a beautifully textured 340gsm white card which conveys a feel of real quality and luxury. There is a selection of colours and typefaces that can be chosen from, the photographs above show a few of those.

Hopetoun House

We had great pleasure in accepting an invitation to exhibit at the exclusive Hopetoun House Wedding Day in January. Hopetoun House is such an impressive venue and the main hall had been dressed beautifully as it would be for a wedding reception. We took the opportunity to launch our new range of designs and all were framed up and presented in a viewer friendly manner. The new range received many compliments. It was a super day and we really enjoyed meeting all the engaged couples along with their families. The appointment only arrangement worked really well as we were able to devote 100% attention to the potential client. This meant that all the finer details could be discussed and they could have a close look through all the items of stationery. I'd like to thank the Jennifer and the rest of the events team at Hopetoun House for arranging such a great day and for inviting us to take part.

Love and marriage

Well here is the last of one of our discontinued designs. The well liked Love and Marriage design was printed in a lovely soft grey and pale green for beautiful bride to be Sarah and her fiance Craig. It is going to be a gorgeous summer wedding at a very special venue indeed. Wishing them both all the happiness in the world.

Our website shows this Marriage design in a soft duck egg blue but here it looks equally stunning in teal, as selected by the lovely bride Jennifer. We prefer to use a broad grosgrain ribbon for this design as it holds its more simple bow well. Following are some photographs for the other elements of this project; the menu place card booklets and Thank You cards. Menu selection cards and rsvp’s were also produced but unfortunately no photographs were taken before they went out to client - as often happens : )

It has been such a busy summer here that I have not had time to blog. Time for a catch up now - and recap of the stationery we have produced for some of our lovely couples.

All completed and ready to go. Here we have the classic design with cupid but with a flat side-bound spine and finished with navy ribbon. This worked very well and produced an elegant invitation. We also supplied order of service in keeping with this style for this lovely client. “We love the beautiful job you have done and would like to thank you so much for getting them to us so quickly.”

Hello fellow Claire Lovie fans!

I first came into contact with Lovie Stationery after being sent some samples of her fantastic work. As Wedding Planners, we are always looking for suppliers of the highest standard and I am delighted that Claire has now partnered with us and given us this opportunity to introduce ourselves to her readers.

What a great start to the year! I hope everyone had a terrific Christmas and New Year, and are now easing themselves gently into 2010.

It has been lovely to speak to many new clients who are getting married this year. For those brides the pace is just picking up rather than relaxing. We are now into the year of their nuptials and they are launching themselves into the organisation of one of their most important days.

I hope everyone had a wonderful christmas. I am sure you are all gearing up to bring in the New Year - I can't wait for 2010. This year has been great for Lovie Stationery but next year looks to be even more exciting. You may have noticed from some recent additions to our website that we are adding to our range, including a new line of stationery for those special events throughout the calendar year, starting with Valentines Day. We are officially still on Christmas holidays but I couldn’t wait to continue working on some new designs... so watch this space. I know it seems ages away, but Valentines Day will soon be with us, and as I know our clients like to be all organised with that special card, I am working on our 2010 range for you right now. Will post some pics when ready.

We were very pleased with this latest order. Beautiful french fold invitations in the Classic design of border and typography with a Cupid motif. The lovely client requested an orange accent colour which works well here. Plus a lovely set of Thank You cards. Yes, I know the type is blurred on Thank You cards - its a secret : )

Floral Invitation in Teal

I wanted to let you see some new photographs showing a current invitation request. The floral design has been produced in a dark teal colour with a white floral outline, beautifully finished off with a pure white cross-grain ribbon on a side-bound french folded card.

All our designs are also applied to rsvp’s, place cards and table names/number cards, table plans, our popular wish cards and thank you cards - or indeed any other piece of social stationery requests.

Monogram Invitation

We have just completed a couple of visuals showing variations on a theme for a client. A classic monogram design in either magenta or 'silver' accents. The french folded card has been used here.

The choice of font selected can change the look dramatically. The client requested the traditional script font. When initials are involved sometimes we have to change the font to achieve the best looking initial for the letters involved.

This is the difference between 'off-the-shelf' invitations and Lovie Stationery. We take the extra time and use our extensive knowledge to really bring together the design, looking closely at the cut of the font, the kerning and leading to create the best possible design for each and every Bride and Groom's very special stationery.

Little book place card/menu

This cute little place card/menu book has proved very successful. A normal place card in size but it is actually a little book. The cover acts as a place card with your guests name, followed by each course of the celebratory meal printed on a different page. All side bound together and finished with a colour themed ribbon. Brides love it because it is just adorable, the venue loves it because it saves on table space and the guests love it because it doubles as a personal keepsake from the day. This item of course can be matched in both motif and colour to co-ordinate with your other beautiful wedding stationery from us.

Party invites galore!

I thought I would post another of my favourite party invitations. This was produced for a little girl this summer - incorporating a special request for dolphins on the design : ) hence the repeat pattern within the stripes. Each invitation varied in colour palette. The colour of the frame element along with the ribbon were changed according to the recipient's favourite colours. How thoughtful!

Beautiful Wish Cards

These little Wish Cards were well received at the Wedding Show at SECC.

Place a card at each place setting and the guests add their wish for the Bride and Groom. Collect and keep them forever in their wishbox. A lovely special memento of the day and everyone’s wishes for their future together.

We had a fabulous time at the Scottish Wedding Show over the weekend. It was so nice to meet all of the lovely couples that we spoke to. Such positive feedback from everyone about our collection. There is always a fab atmosphere at these wedding shows as it all revolves around a very special occasion indeed. We hope everyone enjoyed meeting the suppliers at the show and left armed with all the relevant information and inspiration.
